Hey guys! Happy not-so-happy last day of the weekend. Because tomorrow’s not only the first day of the week but the first Monday of February ( oh my gosh happy Feb guys!!!), here’s two amazing smoothie recipes to give your week a fresh and delicious boost. They aid in weight loss, increases your metabolism, and just gives you that much needed energy to make it through Monday. Let’s get started!

Smoothie #1:Green Tea Strawberry Smoothie

I like to drink this smoothie either pre or post workout. It’s also a good source for weight loss, as you will be using a green tea base. Green tea helps speed up your metabolism, and since many people don’t like drinking the bitter, hot tea, putting it in a sweet and fruity smoothie is a great way to get the tea in. Besides weight loss, green tea antioxidants also aids in cancer and heart disease prevention. With caffeine included as well, it’ll give you that boost you need to get your day started.
You’ll Need:
  • 2 cups of strawberries, washed
  • 1 peeled banana ( For best results, ripe)
  • 1/2 cup yogurt. ( For a more strawberry taste, add I recommend Strawberry flavored. For a tangy flavor, use Greek Yogurt)
  • 1/2 cup of chilled green tea. 
  • *Optional* 1/2 cup of ice
  • *Optional* Half cup of milk
Instructions:
Add all ingredients into blender and blend till smooth. Pour, serve, and you’re good to go!

Smoothie #2: Green Smoothie

I love green smoothies. Ever since I saw them on Pinterest a year ago, I’ve had a freshly blended glass every morning before I go to school. It fills me up, gets me through the morning, and is sooo delicious. Because it’s jam packed with filling nutrients such as banana, spinach, and nuts, you won’t feel as likely to snack and you’ll cut back on those unnecessary calories. It’s thick, creamy, and sweet.This recipe is my parents’s own creation, but I guarantee you guys will love it.
You’ll Need:
  • 2-3 handfuls of organic spinach, washed
  • 1 ripe banana, sliced ( frozen optional)
  • 1/2-1 cup of milk ( depending on your taste, soy or unsweetened almond milk)
  • 1 tbs black sesame seeds
  • handful of walnuts
  • 1/2 cup of filtered water
  • *Optional*1/2 cup of ice
Instructions:
Put all ingredients in blender and blend away! When smooth, pour and serve. Breakfast is served ^^.
