Pure Vitamin C21.5 Advanced Serum Review [Wishtrend]

Wishtrend was so kind to send me this Pure Vitamin C21.5 Serum to try out and review for you guys. Because I’ve been doing some traveling, I’ve put off trying this serum out for a long time, so I apologize for the wait. But now after using this serum for 4 weeks, I’m here to tell you all about it.

Packaging: When I first received the serum, I was so impressed by the packaging and its contents. It came in a bright orange box, with instructions and descriptions printed on all four sides in both English and Korean. The serum itself is in a dark amber bottle, and I later learned that this is to prevent product oxidation, since the substance is pure vitamin C. But I was more more surprised to see that not only was I only given the serum, but three skincare packets were included as well. There was a damage/clearing cream, an exfoliant, and a soothing cream for sensitive skin. This is the first time I’ve purchased a beauty product and have it come with a complimentary gift. I find that very thoughtful. 🙂

About the serum: To my knowledge, this serum is an advanced and upgraded version from it’s previous product, the Original Pure Vitamin C20 Serum, although with the same packaging and bottle. The only difference this time is that the formula is made with less and simpler more natural ingredients, increased vitamin C, and lowered stickiness. Unfortunately I don’t have the previous serum to compare, so there’s nothing I can say about the different. I do note that only 12 ingredients are listen on this upgraded serum, compared to the 31 on the original.

According to Wishtrend, this serum is to have to effect of:

  • Skin brightening and whitening
  • Fixing skin blemishes and pigmentations
  • Repair dry, unhealthy skin
  • Even skin tone and discoloration
  • Rejuvenation and nourishment
Here’s what the serum looks like in the dropper.
All you have to do is put 2-3 drops on your hand and apply it to your face.
Using the serum: Following the directions, I used this serum every night after cleansing and exfoliating. (I’ve really incorporated this into my new skin care routine, and I’ll do a post on that in the future.) Being exposed to the sun constantly, even with sunscreen, as left the top of my cheeks blemished and red. I also have faded acne scars, so I just apply the serum to all parts of my face. As expected, there is a tingly/stinging sensation upon appliance, but they were on the blemished areas so that’s how I knew it was having an effect. The stinging goes away after a few minutes, and especially if you apply it before bed, it’s not anything you have to worry about.
Although this serum does claim to have a non-sticky finish, I still find my skin slightly sticky after applying, but not to the point where it becomes a nuisance. I just rub a little moisturizer on afterwards and go straight to sleep, but in the mornings the stickiness does tend to fade in a short amount of time.

Results: Here are my results of using this serum for four weeks.

As you can see, my skin really cleared up and brightened, and the red blemishes were greatly reduced as well. It’s impressive to see from these pictures how well the serum worked in such a short amount of time, and how great the condition of my skin on my face is in. This really aids in healing sun damage, as well as reducing blackheads and pimple scars, which I did not take pictures of. The only downside to this serum would have to be the stinging sensation the first few times you apply it, and the slight stickiness. But overall, I highly recommend this serum to incorporate into your daily skincare routine and to add to your collection of serums. Foundation and concealer can hide pretty much everything, but nothing makes a difference than actually going in and getting rid it.

You can buy the serum here! Right now the serum actually comes with a free gift of 3 enhancing sheet masks plus free shipping! And finally, visit my Wishtrend Coupon Codes And Vouchers: July for discounts, coupon codes, and store credits if you decide to make a purchase.
