1. Makeup Remover Wipes
Wipes are the easiest way to remove makeup on the go, and are also a great way to fix a mistake such as an overdrawn eyeliner and excess eyeshadow. The one I’ve been storing in my makeup bag these past few months is the Studio 35 Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes which I picked up at Walgreens. It’s super affordable and really does its job.
Excuse my terribly messy eyeshadow palette, but that’s what happens when your palette consists of shimmery bronzes. This was my first eyeshadow palette ever that I picked up at Forever 21 for the low price of $5.90. Despite it not being high end, this palette has stuck through all this time and the colors are simply gorgeous. The golds, bronzes, and grays make stunning ombre looks and it’s definitely an essential.
3. CLINIQUE Eyeshadows
Clinique offers a bunch of travel sized products with the purchase of a big one, so I get a bunch of these little eyeshadow palettes. I’m a fan of them because they’re so compact, which is why you’ll find at least two in my makeup bag. My current favorites are these two colors pictures above.
4.CLINIQUE Baby Tint Lip Balm
This is my ultimate favorite favorite favorite lip product. I have a bunch of tinted lip balms, lipsticks, and lip liners, but this is one that is an essential. This light pink color glides on so naturally with no heaviness, slightly staining your lip the prettiest light pink color. The colors deepen with more swipes, which is so versatile and great for any look ranging from an everyday natural makeup to a night out.
5. CLINIQUE Lash Doubling Mascara and Different Lipstick
Okay I’m realizing it may seem like this post is sponsored by Clinique, but I assure you it really isn’t. Anyways, this is a handy little thing to own because it’s double sided. One side is mascara and the other a lipstick.
6. Eyelash Curler
I’m Asian, so naturally, I have thin eyelashes that lie straight down. An eyelash curler does wonders with opening up the eyes, giving the illusion of bigger and rounder eyes. I picked this one up ages ago at Forever 21, and it’s served me well. I’m thinking of upgrading to a better one in the future though.
7. Classic Line Felt Tip Liquid Eyeliner
If I could only have one item from my makeup bag to use on a daily basis, it would be this one. No eye makeup is complete without this liner. Check out my tutorial on How To Master the Perfect Winged Liner where I use this liner.
This is currently the only concealer I own. It’s like a mascara, with a super easy applicator brush that is great for under eye circles.
I prefer BB Creams to foundation, which is why you’ll find this KLAIRS Illuminating Supple Blemish Cream in my makeup bag. I use it all the time because not only does it have a pretty good medium coverage and is super moisturizing, it also has an SPF of 40.
10. Makeup Brushes
Definitely something you’ll find in my makeup bag! A really good friend of mine actually bought these bamboo brushes for me in a pack of 15. There’s concealer, eyeshadow, blending, foundation, highlighting, contour, and stippling brushes.
There’s a bunch of other products I have in my makeup bag, but these are the ones that I use the most. I hope this gave you some ideas for what you’d like to add to your own collection, as well as what I use on a daily basis.
Lots of love,
