Spring is here, which means some of you will be traveling to some sunny locations, lounging by the pool, or staying home binge watching spring essential Youtube videos. (Me.) No matter what your plans are, today I want to share with you a few of my favorite spring essentials!
Sunglasses are a must! Besides being a fashion statement, a nice pair of sunnies protect your eyes from the harsh rays of the sun. I brought a pair of rose gold aviators with me to my trip to Mexico, and I’m so glad I did since the sun was really bright there. You don’t have to stick with the ordinary black frames. Go out and experiment with different styles and colors!
Just like sunglasses, sunscreen is super important! Although a lot of BB creams and foundations contain SPF these days, always be sure to cover your entire body with sun protection. While I reserve cream sunscreen for my face, I prefer to use the spray version for easier appliance. My favorite one to bring is the Neutrogena Beach Defense Sunscreen. It’s waterproof, light, and actually smells good.
Even if you’re not a blogger or vlogger, a camera is definitely an essential to bring on any trip. And it doesn’t even have to be a fancy camera- an iPhone camera is great too. I like to document every moment of the trip, but also take artsy photos. Challenge yourself to be creative! I love my Sony a5100 because its small, compact, and easy to whip out anywhere I go. If you’re not traveling and you’re bored, going on a photoshoot with friends is super fun. You can dress up in spring inspired outfits and take super cute photos for Instagram.
I’m a musician, so I usually don’t wear nail polish. But whipping out my favorite light colors really gets me in the whole spring vibe. That’s why one of my essentials is light colored nail polish! My current favorite spring colors are teal, white, and light pink. What’s yours?
With spring also comes floral! Since festival season is coming up, floral headpieces like flower crowns and headbands are super in style. This is a twist headband I bought in the markets in China a while back, and I love it because you can bend and twist it into whatever shape you want. They really add to your outfit, and are just so cute to wear in spring.
Okay guys, that’s it for my spring essentials. Let me know what your essentials are in the comments below! And be sure to watch my Spring Essentials video down below!
Lots of love
