The Starbucks Unicorn Frappucino


Because I’m trying to unicorn-ify my life and have taken up the task of trying internet trends for the sake of vlog worthy content, I embarked on a journey to Starbucks to try out their newest Unicorn Frappucino- Β sugar filled drink that claims to change from sweet to sour with a stir of the straw.

IMG_5473 I brought my friend Amaris to consume this drink afterwards, because I knew it was going to be so disgustingly sugary. And a sour frappucino? No thanks. But hey- do it for the gram.

According to Starbucks,

“Magical flavors start off sweet and fruity transforming to pleasantly sour. Swirl it to reveal a color-changing spectacle of purple and pink. It’s finished with whipped cream-sprinkled pink and blue fairy powders.”

IMG_5475 So upon first sip, legit all I could taste was liquid sour candy. It was slightly tangy and acidic, but so over powering with sugar at the same time. Honestly the best thing description I’ve heard is “tastes like sour birthday cake and shame.” LOL. Honestly it’s like a unicorn threw up its dinner of bubble gum, birthday cake, cream, and warheads.


But can we talk about how GORGEOUS this drink is? Like honestly, I get it. This drink didn’t have to be good, and really, no one was expecting it to be. But its colors and vibrance alone makes it worth a Starbucks trip.
